Claw Machine at the Steak N Shake

Sadly, the ones inside nearly all the Steak and Shakes are rigged.  I gave it 2 dollars to try and It easy to spot how it's rigged.

There is a sensor in the middle of the claw.  If it triggers that it came down directly onto the prize, it'll grab it.  If the claw touches anything else before it, the claw freezes then pauses and then retracts up.  I tried other tricks to maybe hook one side of the claw into the helmet rigg of the Georgia Helmet on the right.  No such luck, the claw spins as well. 

Can you tell which item has the best chance of success?
