A lot of mistakes people make when they go up against the claw machine is trying to get something they want. That's all fine and good but you won't beat the machine if you do that. Don't go for what you WANT; go for what you can GET. For instance, the loose items.
Most of the items you see here are stuffed below. They are pushed so far down that the claw has no chance of getting them. If you see by the above photo and the items I've circled, they are on top and loose. You have a better than average chance of getting them.
